Beginner Mauritian Creole is an Android app that provides a simple and direct way to learn the Mauritian Creole language. The app is designed for beginners and enthusiasts who want to learn the basics of the language. It is based on the 'a word a day' concept, which allows users to learn up to 12 words a day of their choosing.
The app uses a repetition-based learning system where learned words are tested repeatedly on a decreasing regularity basis. If answered correctly, the app will adjust to test the user more on the word, while incorrectly answered words will be deactivated, allowing the user to focus on other words. There are almost a thousand common and popular Kreol Morisien words available in the app, which users can pace themselves through to achieve an essential knowledge of the Mauritian Creole vocabulary in just a matter of weeks.
